This page explains what Statsmith Basketball ("Statsmith", "we"), its website and the Chrome
extension collect. The short version is that almost everything stays in your own browser.
What stays in your browser
Your league settings, category weights, marks, risk calls and draft picks are saved in your browser's local storage. They are not sent to us.
The Chrome extension reads the visible text of ESPN's fantasy basketball draft room, and asks ESPN for your league's teams and
draft details using the ESPN login already in your browser. It passes that to the Statsmith page open in the same browser.
Your ESPN cookies, login and league data are never sent to our servers or to anyone other than ESPN.
The extension runs only on ESPN's fantasy basketball draft pages and on the Statsmith site. It does not read any other site.
What reaches us
License checks. When you enter a license key, the key goes to our server, which asks Gumroad whether
it is valid. The key is checked again every few days. We do not store keys on our server.
Hosting logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP address and
browser type to serve and protect the site.
Anonymous usage counts. The app reports a few events so we know how Statsmith is used: that it was opened, that
a league was set up, and that a draft was synced and how far it got. Each event says only the kind of draft (mock or real,
snake or auction, categories or points, number of teams) and whether a season pass is active, with a random id made up in
your browser so we can count people rather than page loads. Events never include your name, email, ESPN account, league ID,
team names or players. If the app hits an error, it also sends the error's technical message (for example "Cannot read
properties of undefined") so we can fix it. They are stored in Cloudflare Analytics Engine.
Email. If you email us, we keep the conversation to answer you.
We do not use advertising trackers or cookies of our own.
Payments
Purchases are handled by Gumroad, which acts as the merchant of record. Gumroad collects your name, email and payment
details under its own privacy policy. We receive the order details Gumroad shares with sellers, such as your email address
and what you bought, and use them only to support your purchase.
Your choices
Clear your browser's site data for Statsmith to remove everything it has saved. Remove the extension from Chrome at any time. To
ask about or delete any information we hold about you, email statsmithsupport@gmail.com.
Children
Statsmith is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
