The extension links your ESPN draft room to Statsmith, so every pick shows up in the Live draft tab without typing. It takes about two minutes, in Chrome on a computer.
Why a zip? The extension is waiting on Google's review for the Chrome Web Store. Until it is listed, you load it into Chrome yourself. It works the same way.
Version 2.6, a small zip file.
Download statsmith-extension-2.6.zip
Double-click the zip to get a folder called statsmith-extension-2.6. Move it somewhere you'll keep it, such as
Documents. Chrome loads the extension from this folder, so don't delete it.
Type chrome://extensions into Chrome's address bar and press Enter. Turn on the Developer mode
switch in the top-right corner.
Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder (the one with manifest.json inside). Statsmith
appears in your list of extensions. When you open an ESPN draft room, a Statsmith badge shows in the bottom-left corner of the
room.
Updates: an extension loaded this way doesn't update itself. If you have a season pass, we email you when a new
version ships. To update, download and unzip the new version, click Remove on the old Statsmith card in
chrome://extensions, then load the new folder with Load unpacked. Reload any open draft room and
Statsmith tabs afterwards.
Live sync follows the first 5 rounds of any ESPN mock draft for free, so you can try it before your real draft. No season pass needed for that; the season pass unlocks full mocks and your league's real draft.
On ESPN's fantasy basketball site, open the Mock Draft Lobby. Sign in to ESPN in Chrome if you aren't already.
Pick one that looks like your league: snake or auction, and a similar number of teams. Wait in the draft room.
Open the Statsmith app in another tab of the same window, go to Live draft and make sure Live sync from ESPN is ticked.
Back in the draft room, the badge in the bottom-left should be green and read Statsmith linked · 0 picks read. As picks are made, the count goes up and the Live draft tab follows along.
If the badge is red or the Live draft tab says "Connecting…", check that Statsmith is switched on in
chrome://extensions, then reload the draft room tab and the Statsmith tab. Both need to be open in the same Chrome
profile. A badge reading Statsmith: open the Live draft tab and turn on Sync means the room is
found but Statsmith isn't listening yet: open the Live draft tab and tick "Live sync from ESPN".
Statsmith follows the draft room that's open. Close draft rooms for other leagues, including old mock drafts, and reload the one you're drafting in. Check that the League tab has the right league's settings, and re-import them from ESPN if not.
Copy the whole key from your Gumroad receipt, with no spaces before or after it. Each key works in a limited number of browsers. If you can't find the key, search your inbox for "Gumroad". Still stuck? Email statsmithsupport@gmail.com.
The extension needs Chrome on a computer (Mac, Windows, Linux or a Chromebook). Safari, phones and tablets aren't supported, so draft from a computer with Chrome.
If no badge appears, make sure you're in an ESPN fantasy basketball draft room, not the lobby, then reload the room tab. If you just installed or updated the extension, the room needs that reload. If it still isn't found, keep drafting by hand: untick "Live sync from ESPN" in the Live draft tab and enter each pick. Click "Save draft room snapshot" and send it to statsmithsupport@gmail.com so we can fix it.
